Creative Challenge: #Drawwithpixar / by Johnny Michael

If I want to get better at drawing, I need to start drawing every day. So I started doing just that by learning from Pixar Youtube videos. While I’d love to be a Pixar Story Artist, there’s also the practical application of just learning how to storyboard scenes for commercial shoots and the work I already do. Drawing really helps me to communicate an idea and to think through and visualize shots, or an entire sequence. Practicing storyboarding stuff seems to be my next challenge, but for this post, here are some simple sketches of characters that make me smile. Big thanks to the Story Artists, Benjamin Su and Scott Morse from Pixar for making these cool videos to learn and follow along with.
