Why the hell not? In an effort to work more collaboratively with others, I decided it would be a fun and funny idea to put on a dress and say hello with my friend Helen. Helen is into fashion and getting weird, and I’m into waving. We had a Gucci bag full of laughs while making this. While my mother and immediate family were highly confused and not at all happy to see their kin dressing up in a dress for the internet, I’m happy at the way it turned out and the energy of the edit. It is certainly weird but that was the point. In the end, mother may not approve, but she’s also not my creative director. She berated me in a small fit of rage, “When someone asks me why the hell is your son wearing a dress online? What the f.. am I supposed to say?” … What can I say? It’s art, it’s comedy… Sometimes you’ve just gotta do weird stuff. It feels good.
