This might be my new side hustle…. filming real estate properties! Lucia is a realtor friend of mine and looking to build a presence of trust on the web. And that's the goal of this video. We wanted to create something that helped sell the appeal of this great house and communicate a sense of warmth and a human connection with Lucia.
To create, I used my new Canon EOS R and a Ronin S Gimbal for the video work. For most of the video, I used an Ultrasonic 14 mm wide-angle Canon lens that I rented from Lensrentals.com. On the close-ups, I used my nifty 50 mm, but I’m definitely glad I had the 14mm for the house because those wide angles make every shot look majestic, open, and spacious. Which is exactly what people want to see in property videos. Pretty happy to see how it came out and Lucia was thrilled as well. Hooray for my first happy client!
Along with doing the still photos for the house, it was also a great way to practice camera movement, some small bits of directing and teamwork along with editing. it helps that I had an awesome collaborator to star in the video too! Hopefully, more to come!
